Moore Blog!! bio picture

Welcome

My name is Kelly Moore Clark, and I'm based out of Ruston, LA...yes Louisiana! I live here with my wonderful hubby Kelly Clark, and our way too cute little girl, Posey, whom you will see much too often on this blog(I can't believe I've become one of "those" mothers.)

This is where you will see my most recent work as well as what’s going on in my life, my business, and my crazy crazy world. My goal is to share with you something real....whether that is through photography or just telling you what is going on in my life. Too often I think that we try to put up pretty pictures with a fake smile and try to convince everyone we are perfect. I promise, perfection is not something you'll find here, but I hope you will find honesty, inspiration and encouragement.

Feel free to come by daily! Come in, leave me a message(you know how us photographers thrive on comments!), have a seat and stay a while!! I promise I won't tell your boss ;)

Thanks for stopping by!

1 spot available for LOVE ADDICT

I posted about a month ago that I had 1 spot available for LOVE ADDICT. I was able to fill it, but I had one of our attendee’s contact me today with some good news….She’s expecting! On the flip side, she feels horrible, and won’t be able to join us.
This again, leaves one space available if anyone is interested. We are only 2 weeks away, so if you are interested, please let me know!

Jeff & Alicia

I shot Jeff & Alicia’s Wedding back in April, but we weren’t able to shoot Alicia’s bridals before the wedding. We decided to go out about a month after the wedding with the two of them and have our shoot. They came over to Ruston, and we had a good time hanging out and having fun. They are such a cute couple. Alicia is sweet and shy, and Jeff is a little crazy! We were trying to get her to do something crazy, but she wouldn’t budge…..so Jeff decided to do a little dance for her. I know he’s going to kill me!!
Aren’t they cute??

Jennifer

Jennifer is getting married in 1 week! We are cutting it close, waiting so late to shoot, but sometimes, circumstances come up, and we just have to roll with it ;)
We had SO MUCH FUN yesterday. It was just the two of us, so we were relaxed, and open for anything. Yesterday’s shoot is a great example of getting yourself out of your comfort zone. We ended up starting to shoot around 5:30, which is pretty late for me. Rather than get nervous about the light we had left, I decided I would take advantage of it. You’ll see that towards the end, we were able to capture some really rockin shots b/c it was getting dark. All that to say…..push yourself to get something new and different. Use every opportunity….especially the ones that take you away from your comfortable “natural light photography”, to experiment and do something you’ve never done before.

Here are a few from yesterday:

Jennifer’s fiance’ is in the National Guard, and Is about to learn to fly helicopters, so she wanted to get this shot for him.

This shot was taken just second before the next shot. This is a great example of the different looks you can get by changing the light source and a couple of camera settings!

A random thanks,

I already think that I have the greatest job in the world, but when I receive random notes like this, It really makes me appreciate that I’m able to do something I love.
Sorry if I’m being too sappy.
