Welcome!

My name is Kelly Moore Clark, and I'm based out of Ruston, LA...yes
Louisiana! I live here with my wonderful hubby Kelly Clark, and our way
too cute little girl, Posey, whom you will see much too often on this
blog(I can't believe I've become one of "those" mothers.)

This is where you will see my most recent work as well as
what’s going on in my life, my business, my mind and my heart. My goal
is to share with you something real....whether that is through
photography or just telling you what is going on in my life. Too often
I think that we try to put up pretty pictures, but we don't want to
show who we really are. I'm not always eloquent, and you can always depend on me to be inappropriate, but I will always try to be honest :)

Feel free to come in, leave me a message (you
know how us photographers love comments!), have a seat and stay a
while!! I promise I won't tell your boss ;)

Thanks for stopping by!

Kelly

Vote ‘08- Buy a Shirt Please ;)

I know, I know, you’re never supposed to talk about religion and politics on your blog…….oops. But what fun would that be?

I was listening to one of my favorite talk radio hosts the other day, and I heard him use the phrase, “Babies, Guns & Jesus”. I couldn’t get it out of my head!!!! It was too perfect! I know there are so many issues out there to be discussed, but these are a few things I believe in….and I know there are people out there who want to take these things away.

Anyway!!! I’ve had the talented Amii from Trendy Expressions design a shirt for me. If you are out there, and you happen to want to show others how you feel too, please purchase a t-shirt. All proceeds will go to support the campaign of the candidate who would wear this t-shirt ;)

If you don’t agree with me, no harm done. I certainly don’t expect you all to agree with everything I believe, but thank you for letting me speak my mind. I by all means am not trying to force my views on anyone, and that’s what is so wonderful about being an American! We can openly and freely express our views while still loving and respecting each other.

American Apparel Unisex Fine Jersey Short-Sleeve Tee; 100% Fine Jersey cotton construction; Unisex size - women may prefer to wear one size smaller

candace flores - is it too late to order a t-shirt. is there any change i could get it by next wk. oh i wish i would have come here sooner. love your work. many blessings, candace

Kelly - I have to come correct a comment I made earlier. I had gotten some wrong info. Mr. Obama does support the 2nd Amendment, and believes that it is an our right as Americans to own guns. I stand corrected! Kelly

millie holloman - One thing I don't understand. Why do people judge people based on their religious beliefs or political views? An opinion is just that, an opinion! Just because you don't agree does not mean you can't come back to a blog or respect someone. You don't have to wear the shirt, if you don't like it skip the post or don't wear the shirt. I actually love the shirt and just told Kelly, I'll take one for myself!

olivia - Your work is amazing. The shirt design is awesome. I have the exact opposite views as you but I don't find it offensive. I personally would never post a political/ religious post due to the fact I wouldn't want to turn off any clients- no matter how booked I was. The most offensive thing on you blog is the amount of bottled water that you used for your workshops. Maybe next time you could buy 5 gallon jugs and encourange your workshop attendees to bring a reusable container- or tell them to reuse one water bottle the entire weekend by allowing them to refill by a 5 gallon container.

LadybugBleu - Kelly -- Rock on, woman. The right to freely speak your mind is one of the most beautiful and unappreciated rights we are afforded in this great country. I fully support you and am proud to stand with a strong, intelligent woman as yourself.

Cindy - Again I am so impressed by you! Awesome shirt.

Holly - Must have this shirt.

Jamie - Thanks for reminding evryone that we have a 2nd amendment. I think we support the same candidate!!

Kelly - Nancy- Thanks for writing! If you do a little research, you will find that there is a particular candidate who would like to make owning guns illegal. Guns, in themselves are not the problem. People are the problem. If someone wants to do harm to another person, they will do it if they own a gun or not. We might as well ban stairs, b/c someone could decide to push you down them, knives, b/c someone might stab you, and bathtubs, b/c someone might decide to hold your head under water. If we take guns from the normal people of America, the only people left with power will be the criminals. Babies. I believe babies(even in the womb) have the same rights as women. Who are we to decide that a woman carrying a child is more important than the child? And yes, we do have a candidate who does not think that these babies have enough right to live. I've actually had several people over the age of 60 order shirts. Hope you come back, Kelly

nancy - I had to think long and hard about the text and am still not sure I get it? "There are people out there who want to take these things away"?Especially after someone shot and killed another student at my brother's school recently, I suport gun control while still agreeing with the constitutional right to bear arms. I also support freedom of religion without forcing any particular belief on someone. Suggesting that anyone, especially a US presidential candidate, is AGAINST guns, babies, and Jesus just seems ridiculous... almost as ridiculous as suggesting that someone in their 70s would wear a rockin t-shirt like that.

Angela - I had to come back and check out the comments again. I've begged my hubby for the shirt, so hopefully our checkbook will allow it. Iris said earlier, "I just think there is no absolute truth regarding this topic." I'm curious about the other topics, then. Our nation has lost its moral compass, true north (absolute truth) is called relative. Relative to the individual. The foundation for morality is right and wrong. The foundation for right and wrong is truth, absolute truth. To have truth, you have to have a standard/a measure. That is the Word of God. If truth is relative to the individual (what is true for them), then they have their own scale. If each person has his/her own scale, then we truly have lost our moral compass. (I have now typed a lot of letters in a small box.)

Davina - One other thought: To miss out on a super cool, fiesty, interesting, and creative person because opinions differ is unfortunate. If we all agreed and surrounded ourselves only with people that thought the same way we did...life would certainly be boring.

Davina - I'm trying to make out from these comments who the intolerant person is that would be wearing the shirt... It's a shame that anyone would feel that political beliefs would be a basis for not looking at someone's images or decide they couldn't be friends on that premise alone.

Iris - Hi Kelly, Of course I came back to see the reactions to my comment ;-) Thanks for taking the time to reply. I did not mean to judge you or that you should not have and voice your own opinions, which is everybody's right! I just wanted to state that I am of a very different opinion, this topic is very important to me and the consequences are I will not read your blog anymore -as everybody has the choice to do or not. I do not want to go into details why I do not believe in guns as I feel your blog is not the place to enter into a longwinded political or value-related discussion - I just think there is no absolute truth regarding this topic (my European roots could also be a reason why I see this soooo totally different). Well, all the best for you and your family and lots of success with your business! Iris

amy - people who are offended by others with different beliefs are ignorant ... we should all feel comfortable standing up for what we believe in without judgement and ridicule by those who would prefer to be surrounded by clones ... i am proud of your stand ... and i appreciate your openness and honesty. Just curious... when people say they do NOT believe in guns... does that mean that they did not agree with the United States army going to defend and free innocent people in WWII?? etc...

heather - make that 2!

heather - YOU GO GIRL!!! It is a shame that we are so quick to judge one another based on our beliefs, when in fact, it is not our right to judge at all...It is a given that we are not going to all share the same beliefs; if we did, we would not need elections! Cheers to you for talking God & Politics on your website (politically correct is so boring and so terribly INcorrect)...This is America afterall (and by the way, does this t-shirt not speak of what this country was founded on? oops...hope I haven't offended anyone!) Put me down for one please! I will wear it everyday until the election...

Kelly - Iris- I'm sorry you won't be visiting me anymore! As I said in my above post, I don't think we all have to believe the same thing, and that is what makes America so great! I hate that the fact that I am outspoken about my beliefs would turn you away. It seems you aren't bashful in vocalizing how you feel! As for the guns, If the fact that I like to shoot skeet for recreation or have a handgun in my home to protect my family offends you, then by all means don't come back. Remember, it is my constitutional right to bear arms, and to take that away from the people would cripple our nation. Also, Iris, it's the criminals who are doing the damage with weapons, and they will have them regardless of the law. Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts....but you probably won't read this since you aren't going to be visiting anymore ;) Kelly

Angela - This is so awesome. I love you for posting this, for knowing people may reject you for it (which they are) and doing it anyway. There is right and wrong. There is absolute truth. What an artful and expressive way of standing up for it. Count me in.

Iris - Long time reader of your blog which had been in my rss-feed. Unfortunately this will be the last post I read because while I tolerate other believes, I do not want to read anything further from somebody who believes in guns (I honestly do not understand why one could believe in wheapons???). Love your pictures, so I am a bit sorry I won't see them anymore.

Janalin - AMEN! Great shirt Kelly and I am SO PROUD of you for stating what you believe. I have been toying with doing the same but haven't had the guts until now.

stunned - Oh dear. Love your work, hate the shirt. Nothing more to say.

amber - I would wear it, too! proudly.

Kelly - Disgusted Photographer- Thanks for taking the time to comment! I must say, that I know about 50 people so far who would wear it ;)

Disgusted Photographer - I love your work, Kelly, and have been a long time blog reader, but I must say that I don't know who would wear this shirt, but I do know who would wear one that says "War, Poverty and Intolerance....Vote 08"

Crystal - I don't know which of the two main candidates would wear this shirt actually.... not honestly anyways. Nice beliefs, too bad Ron Paul isn't still running. There's no Jesus any other way.

morgan - love the shirt...love t-shirts in general..ha! so i will definately be gettin my order to you soon!! love ya morgan

teresa vigil - I love the shirt too~ I like that we can speak our mind and besides the shirt is way cool.

Christie - LOVE the shirt, your work, AMEN sista!

Naomi Constantinescu - I think they are the coolest thing ever...debating on buying one for myself and my brother.

Kelly - I wanted to thank everyone who has left a comment.....both good and bad ;) I absolutely don't expect everyone to support this, but thanks for letting me speak my mind! Kelly

jenn nichols - Love your work. Definitely do not love this shirt. I think I'll leave it at that.

E - First off - love the shirt. Second (I'm sure you hear this a lot) - your work is AMAZING. I am just speechless at how beautiful the photographs you have posted are. Seriously, mouth ajar, eyes bugged - speechless. So pretty... -E

erin - i'm posting about this on my blog and linking back to yours. they look amazing!

Stacy Cross - Hmmm.... :) For the record, I'm convinced that both candidates would wear that shirt. Interesting! :)

lauren clark - How soon will we get one???

wrecklessgirl - rad :)

mary - love the design! other than the babies guns & jesus part :)

Amii - Hi Kelly, I did a post on my blog about your shirts...I think they are awesome!
