Moore Blog!! bio picture

Welcome

My name is Kelly Moore Clark, and I'm based out of Ruston, LA...yes Louisiana! I live here with my wonderful hubby Kelly Clark, and our way too cute little girl, Posey, whom you will see much too often on this blog(I can't believe I've become one of "those" mothers.)

This is where you will see my most recent work as well as what’s going on in my life, my business, and my crazy crazy world. My goal is to share with you something real....whether that is through photography or just telling you what is going on in my life. Too often I think that we try to put up pretty pictures with a fake smile and try to convince everyone we are perfect. I promise, perfection is not something you'll find here, but I hope you will find honesty, inspiration and encouragement.

Feel free to come by daily! Come in, leave me a message(you know how us photographers thrive on comments!), have a seat and stay a while!! I promise I won't tell your boss ;)

Thanks for stopping by!

Moon’s Grocery

Handsome Kel was in Mexico with his job this weekend, so Posey and I went with my parents my bro Ross, my Aunt Peggy & Uncle Jere to a place called “Moon’s Grocery”. I’d never heard of it, but it is evidently famous in these parts. It’s a grocery store out in the middle of NOWHERE that serves great steaks. It’s not very often that I have a weekend off to hang out with the fam, so I really enjoyed it. Mom said I needed to bring my camera to document this place ;) For any of you wanting to check it out, here is the address:
Moon’s J E Grocery
6979 Highway 9
Homer, LA 71040-7751
318-927-3687

Just so you know, I didn’t eat the rib eye….I had a sandwich and a baked potato with ketchup. I’ve been sticking with my diet for about 8 weeks now, and I’m 18.5 lbs down! Woop woop. I still have about 25lbs. left to go until I reach my “goal”, but I’m at least starting to recognize myself when I look in the mirror now.

Big Gulp

On the way home from Dallas this week, Brandi and I stopped to fill up, and get a little sustenance for the road. As many of you know, I have a bit of a Diet Coke addiction(fountain, not can). Yes, I know it’s horrible for me. I’m planning on it being one of my next years, new years resolutions to quit. I was amazed, astonished, perplexed, & mortified all at once when I had to choose the size cup I wanted. They had a 64oz. fountain drink!!! I had to get it! I know they say everything is bigger in Texas, but this is a bit too much ;) I got one just to document.

Also, here is our shirt for LOVE ADDICT. The shirt was totally worth coming for! Amii from “Trendy Expressions”, did and amazing job designing it!

LOVE ADDICT, Day 2

We just finished up critiques from yesterdays photo shoot. First of all, our prayers were answered, and it didn’t rain, yay!!! Second of all, we had some pretty amazing models to work with as well as locations to photograph in. I don’t think our day could have gone any better.

I also wanted to thank my assistant Brandi for all of the hard work she has put in to this workshop. I absolutely couldn’t have done it without her. She single handedly organized the photo shoots, which consisted of almost 14 models per day. Brandi, you are amazing, and I love you!

Now for my favorites from todays critique.
